We are glad to inform you that the Department of Applied Science (IT) has planned to organize a one day National Level Technical Symposium MYSCOL’11 on 22nd February 2011 at “CYBERDOME, KSRCT”. In connection with this, we are conducting various Competitions. The details about the events are sent here with for your kind information. We request you to circulate the details to all the students and to motivate your students to take part in the events of this program and exhibit their technical talents.
We call upon for the M.Sc/B.Sc(CT&IT)/MCA/BE/B.Tech Student Participants. We once again extend our invitation to your students to participate in the events and make it a grand success.
EVENT DETAILS AND RULES
General Instructions:
· All the Participants are asked to bring their Bonafide Certificate and ID card.
· Food & Refreshments will be provided.
· Colleges are requested to send the participants list through e-mail or
by post on or before 17th February 2011.
· Judges Decision will be the final for all the events.
· Accommodation available for prior informed participants.
· No Registration Fees.

Paper Presentation:
Topic:
Recent Trends in IT
Rules:
Maximum Two Participants per Paper.
Last date for sending the paper on or before 10th Feb. 2011 softcopy
through E-mail.
Paper Size A4 with 1” Margin, Font Size 12 – Times New Roman
(IEEE Format – two column)
7 minutes for presentations & 3 minutes for queries.
Selected papers will be informed through e-mail on 13th Feb. 2011.
Abstract should contain Keywords, Name, Phone no, E-mail id &
College Name.
Multimedia Presentation:
Multimedia presentation on their own topic not exceeding 7 minutes.
Last date for sending the multimedia presentation is on or before 10th
Feb. 2011 only in CD/DVD with related player.
Two members per team.
Any number of teams can participate from same college.
Topic & rules for the selected participants will be intimated via e-mail
on 13th Feb.2011.
Debugging:
One student can participate.
Prelims will be conducted (related to Computer Subjects).
Final Round in C, C++, JAVA.
Quiz:
Two members per team.
Prelims will be conducted.
Questions asked for both Technical and GK.
Web Designing:
Two members per team.
Prelims will be conducted.
Prelims Questions asked from php, jsp, Javascript and Web Tools.
Finalist has to develop web pages for the topic announced on spot
(Pictures & data provided)
At least one of the tools to be used. (Photoshop, Flash, Dream weaver)
Marketing:
Maximum Five members per team.
Only two members attend the prelims.
Chart & Sketch for Finalist will be provided.
Treasure Hunt:
It’s a fun game, no prelims will be conducted.
